I had to use lots of different media technologies in order to make my 3 products a success, I first had to think about each stage of this project including research, planning, construction and even the evaluation and what different software, programmes and apparatus would be needed in order to make them successful.  During the research and planning stages, the internet played a vital role in such tasks as finding out my target audience, researching different bands of my genre and other genre’s so that I could find inspiration for my products.  The internet allowed me to view professionally made music videos so that I could analyse them and pick out key features which could be applied to mine.  Without these technologies I would not have been able to create my video and make it a success.  I used an HD Panasonic video camera to record footage for the video, the high definition quality of the camera gave me clarity and sharpness which is essential when the video is black and white as it meant you can still see what’s happening on screen and it’s not too dark.  I used Animoto to pitch my video, a website where you are able to create slideshows/movies/animations etc.  I chose this site due to it being simple and easy to use however the results are still effective.  In order to promote a band in this day and age, Twitter is very important.  There are approximately 232 million Twitter users therefore it enables bands to get their music out to a wide range of people if used correctly.  This is why I created a twitter account for my band as it is useful in promoting the video and digipack, I can do this by tweeting the poster which I feel draws people in.  Scribd has been a very useful website as it has allowed me to upload documents from Microsoft Word to my blog.  I used Photoshop regularly throughout this project as I have lots of experience using it.  It helped me to create the poster and digipack, as I can use it well it meant I could create professional, realistic products.  The software which I spent most of my time on throughout this project has been Final Cut Pro.  I used this for many things such as the storyboard animation, my first video draft, and my final music video.  Before this project I had never used this software before however it is very simple and easy to use so after I practised with my draft I was confident with it and had explored the different features meaning I could apply all the relevant features to my final video.

The site Blogger had been very useful as it has enabled me to present my work on a timeline making it easier for me to find previous pieces of work and making it easier for the examiner.  I can merge Twitter with Blogger so that anyone who views my blog can also be kept up to date with the bands tweets.

During the evaluation stages I used four formats to show my work on.  The first one was a site called Powtoon on which you can make short films and animations.  I used this as it is simple to use and I have used it many times before.  Also it allows me to present my work in a professional way with a background summing up what my band is.  The second format I used was Infogram, a site where you can create pages which contain information such as charts and tables; I chose to format my work in this way as it looked presentable.
